From Conversation to Career: How We Are Reimagining Job Searching with AI
The days of spending hours searching through job listings and scrolling through endless feeds are over. Here, we show how we transform a simple conversation with AI into a comprehensive user profile that delivers tailored job opportunities.
Imagine this: you are looking for a job, and instead of going through dozens of job listings, you simply answer the questions of an AI chatbot. Within a minute, you receive a personalized list of jobs tailored precisely to your needs and requirements — ready for you to browse and choose from.
This is one of the key technical challenges our team at CSPC is working on as part of the development of Jobs-schweiz — a robust job platform covering the entire Swiss job market.
Instead of relying exclusively on traditional filters, we have integrated an LLM-powered chatbot as an innovative way to discover job opportunities.
From the user's perspective, the process feels completely natural:
The AI welcomes the user and asks for specific information (e.g. name, language skills, etc.).
The AI extracts information from the user's responses.
The AI builds a profile for the user as they respond, allowing them to track their progress in real time.
The platform delivers tailored job listings based on the user's attributes.
Behind the scenes, the LLM helps extract information from the conversation that can be used for job matching and converts it into structured data returned in JSON format.
Our Symfony- and PHP-based backend then uses this data to perform the matching and return relevant job opportunities.
This approach makes job searching feel less like a chore and more like a natural process for the user, while the robust and reliable backend takes care of finding suitable positions for them.
